Infinite Return, 2024 Geometric Abstract on Glass · Museum Collection

One thousand lines spiral outward from a central void, each calculated to curve back upon itself in eternal return. The work translates the ancient vesica piscis—two intersecting circles birthing the sacred geometry of creation—into contemporary visual language.

Each radiating thread maps a journey of departure and reunion. Straight lines appear curved through mathematical precision, creating the optical paradox the ancients understood: true transcendence comes not from separation, but from recognizing the patterns that unite opposing forces.

The viewer's eye traces these pathways involuntarily, following each thread's arc from darkness toward light and back again. What begins as geometric exercise becomes meditation on the cyclical nature of existence—we are never truly separate from what we seek to rejoin.

In Jiji's hands, sacred geometry finds new expression, proving that the deepest truths require no words—only the patience to observe how duality dances its way back to unity.
