Blue Morpho, 2024 Geometric Abstract on Glass · Museum Collection

The butterfly exists in the spaces between the lines - suggested by the curve of surfaces that fold like wings, implied by the iridescent gradient that shifts as you move. The mathematical precision creates a framework within which something organic seems to flutter, never fully materializing but always about to.

The twisted planes don't depict metamorphosis so much as create the conditions where it might occur. The blue-green spectrum flows through geometric space like light through microscopic wing scales, creating color not through pigment but through the pure physics of illumination bent into beauty.

You find yourself tracking movement that isn't there, following flight paths through dimensions that exist only in the corner of your vision. The butterfly becomes real through suggestion - the way all transformations happen, not through force but through creating space where new forms can unfold.

The wings you almost see are your own, waiting for the courage to trust the mathematics of flight.
