Eclipse, 2024 Geometric Abstract on Glass · Museum Collection

You were seven, standing in your grandmother's backyard, wearing cardboard glasses that made the world look like an old photograph. The moon moved across the sun so slowly you thought nothing was happening, then suddenly the sky turned purple and the birds went quiet and you understood, for the first time, that you were standing on a spinning rock in infinite space.

This is that moment—when ordinary time breaks open and reveals the machinery of the cosmos. The white ellipse holds perfect stillness while rainbow light streams around its edges, each line marking another second of celestial choreography too vast for human timescales.

Stand here and feel it again: that mixture of smallness and wonder, the way your chest opens when you remember you're part of something so much larger than your daily concerns. The eclipse passes, but the knowing remains.

You are made of starlight, witnessing itself through temporary eyes.
